The Rants and Ramblings of a Muay Thai Fan

Mark Mian

Mark Mian, CSCS

Mark is a total conditioning coach based in San Francisco, and co-founder of AlterCenter — a training center for helping individuals realize their physical potential. Mark is interested in how humans can transform themselves and adapt to challenges, and has been highly focused on combat training for the last 3 years.

He has worked intensively with a number of professional Muaythai and MMA fighters, including Jongsanan Fairtex, current IMTO and former Lumpini champ Neungsiam Samphusri, and former WEC champ Alex Serdyukov. He also served as conditioning coach for Team Fairtex Muaythai, and Team USA at the Amateur 2004 Muaythai World Cup in Bangkok.

Mark’s approach is based in his background in Neuropsychology — the science of how the mind, nervous system, and body produce behavior. He uses his knowledge to optimize and combine different conditioning methods to promote accelerated development. He is passionate about Muaythai and its culture, and is willing to share his knowledge with any who want to become more conscious warriors.
