This footage was from the other week and was the headliner of the Janus fight night held in Padova Italy.

Many thanks to Mark Mian of the AlterCenter for passing this along, and of course many thanks to dariobertin for keeping the camera work steady.

    (Nopstar, you’ve embedded round 2 twice and no round 1. Here’s round 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jr-PFVxbjd0 )

    Great fight.

    Was that K-1 rules ?

Pique did very well, great heart. although not sure he would have gone another 2 rounds with yod

Pique did really good. I mean Yod’s in recent fights he completely owns his opponents But who knows how round 4-5 would have went in a full Thai rules fight?? But I like Pique as a fighter. Very rounded and sturdy fighter. The “wardrobe malfunction” was hilarious I never saw that in a pro fight before.

    Thanks for the fight.
What’s up with Pique? Lately training with Kraus or Souwer? Rising those hands even he was clearly not a winner. The guy is tough, no doubt, quick hands and dangerous knees. But his defense for low-kicks is weak, and Yod of course punished him for that.
Good win for Yod, but not his best fight.
Yod vs Petrosyan full MT rules would be the fight of the year.

nice fight but good for pique that there were only 3 rounds to go and the groin protection failure was quite funny : )

The white color makes them seem larger than the normal fight size.

    yod never does high kicks

If the fight was 5 rounds and Marco kept doing what he was doing in rd 3 and really laid into yod with the counters i think he could’ve snagged a hometown decision. This is in holland right?

That aside, Yod was definitely the winner, he made more decisive strikes and seemed less shook than Marco the whole fight.

That happened to me in one of my last fights. I’m lucky that I’m not Thai so Watthana Janthakhun (previously Enn Fairtex) didn’t drop my shorts he just retied it.

Haha. That same thing happened to me but luckily I was in Thailand and not Italy and they let me step outside the ring to fix this issue in my badly light Patong corner.

@SE- Yod never throws high kicks?

That’s crazy talk. Yod is well know for throwing a right hook to the body and following with a left head kick. I’ve seen him do it regularly.
