I’m sure it’s going to be awhile until we find some footage for this so I guess there’s no point in waiting to discuss this. *SPOILER ALERT* Fight Footage Below…
John Wayne Parr and Yodsanklai met for the 3rd time in Australia last night. JWP redeemed himself last night with a split decision victory over Yod. The two had met previously in 2005 (xplosion 12) and in 2008 (The Contender Finals)
Props to JWP for his victory…can’t wait to get my hands on some footage. As always if any of you’ve got clips or pics feel free to post them.

fucking ridiculous…..
October 18, 2010 at 6:16 am
yod did some fedor shit and did some shady side bets. i can t believe JWP could ever beat yod.
October 18, 2010 at 6:39 am
this is very disturbing
October 18, 2010 at 7:07 am
haha SE is having a meltdown.
October 18, 2010 at 8:16 am
im gonna punch some random person in the throat to avenge this loss.
October 18, 2010 at 9:20 am
fights already up on youtube. wtf nop. get your shit together
October 18, 2010 at 10:43 am
Yod is in total melt down, JWP deserves this tho he puts everything into his training whilst Yod is lazy in his camp I’ve heard. But I’m sooo happy for JWPA
October 18, 2010 at 11:02 am
seemed like yod landed more effective shots
also seemed like he backed off when jwp was hurt???
i dunno, maybe i’m biased, but i feel yod deserved the win..
October 18, 2010 at 11:24 am
yod did deserve the win, although he wasnt fighing his best. jwp was fighting like he was in a smoker. looks like he learned what a hook is.

SE-
Thanks for sharing the link!
October 18, 2010 at 12:20 pm
thanks for giving the results with ur assumption!!!
also that quality sucks but the point was the fights out there so no reason to jump the gun. BUT since he lost you may have saved me from a big disappointment. ill have to see it in better quality.
October 18, 2010 at 4:16 pm
Hello, guys. Long time reader, first time poster. I was definitley Not satisfied with this fight. Looks like someone got to line their pockets a little fatter after this.
October 18, 2010 at 7:40 pm
JWP should get points deducted whenever he does those horrid wild punch combos that appear to do no significant damage.
October 18, 2010 at 10:19 pm
all this talk of thrown fights makes me wonder of there’s ever been a scandal in thailand over fixing bouts ? w/ all the gambling that goes on, has that ever been an issue?
another somewhat related topic is what happens to a lot of nak muays after retirement, a police friend of mine has told me that some of them (like former pugs here back in the day) end up as enforcers/leg-breakers for gangsters…
i don’t remember any of this ever being covered before, any info?
October 19, 2010 at 12:14 am
guys i was joking about this being fixed. i highly doubt it. and also, dont they usually use KO’s for fixed fights to guarantee a victory? like when yod KO’ed narupol in the contender? hahaha j/k
October 19, 2010 at 1:03 am
^no joke about that one. Naruepol made it pretty obvious that he threw that fight against yod, and that they had an agreement that he would if they ever had to fight eachother.
October 19, 2010 at 2:54 am
Guys – I was at the fight.. I need to watch the fight again but live it looked as though Yod owned JWP. JWP threw alot but it didnt look as though it hurt Yod.
JWP said something like this at the end of the fight. ‘In thailand Yod would have won that fight as the judging is different in Oz, they awarded me alot for my punches.”
October 19, 2010 at 4:46 am
THOSE WERE THE WORST FUCKING PUNCHES IVE SEEN IN MY LIFE…….wow the fuck do you score those. especially when it did no visible damage and didnt stop or affect yod. it did annoy him a bit though. JWP can throw a million punches. yod threw one elbow and cut him. yod was looking for the KO .
October 19, 2010 at 6:02 am
@SE thank you for all of your expert commentary on this fight and every other one that’s posted on this site, I really don’t know what we would do without it! Make sure and stop by Australia and give JWP some tips on how to be as great of a fighter as you are and let him know where he needs some improvement according to your expert opinion. I look forward to hearing some more of your expertise in the very near future. Again, thank you!
October 19, 2010 at 7:14 am
^ huggy bear, lol. my sentiments exactly. fanboy diarrhea of the mouth is a serious condition and should be treated immediately. lol.
jwp is super nice and a great ambassador for the sport, but he’s not in the same league as yodsaenglai. don’t really care what the judges say, yodsaenglai, to me, outscored parr (though jwp had a strong 5th) thoroughly with big body kicks, accurate punching, slick evasive defense, and better ring control. not sure who the judges were, but the promotion seemed to be less than top-notch. anyways, still a good effort by both fighters. it is what it is.
October 19, 2010 at 2:43 pm
LOL @ huggyB…
You know its a hella fight when it starts a big controversy. I like em both, and they put on a good fight. Its not everyday that I get to see titans go up against each other, good decision or not, I hope we keep getting great matchups..and Hey bring em Stateside while you at it!
October 19, 2010 at 3:22 pm
Controversy or not agreeing with a decision is one thing, especially in a close fight, but this fool has a condescending comment for every other fight that gets posted on here. Criticizing world class fighters from behind the safety of his computer. Take your ass to the Sherdog forums, you and the rest of your relatives can run your mouth’s all day pretending like you have a clue what it takes to do what we do. And next time you’re in Vegas please stop by my gym and show me some proper technique and fill me in on some of that expertise you have so I can hopefully do a little better in my next fight. My goal in life is to put on a performance that you approve of.
October 19, 2010 at 5:11 pm
mhh didnt expected JWP to win this one….anyhow, does somebody know where I can get the fight music used in this particular one?? thx in advance
October 19, 2010 at 6:24 pm
Damn! regardless who won good for JWP for fighting balls to the wall against Yod after how the last 2 fights went.
October 19, 2010 at 11:19 pm
I feel like yod has just lost the urge to be great. I hope he hasnt gotten too comfortable being on top. He should have won accord and he should have won this fight. I hope hes not becoming the new Malaipet.
October 20, 2010 at 12:03 am
something is wrong with yod. he needs a therapist. or sometimes it just looks like he looking for huge punch KO’s.
October 20, 2010 at 2:13 am
haha SE went into meltdown mode and subsequently pissed off Kevin Ross then got an invitation to vegas from him.
October 20, 2010 at 3:47 am
I was at the show too and agree that Yod should’ve won the fight. I think that it was towards the later rounds that he eased off a bit cos JWP was cut and started slowing down.
I reckon that JWP looked tired going into the fight. I dunno if it was the weight cutting or his training stint in Thailand after another fight he had in september but I also think that Yod didn’t get out of 3rd gear that night. He definitely took it easy on JWP. I still remember his reaction when the commentator announced the winner, he turned to his trainer and was like “WTF??” – lol.
All in all, I was stoked to get the opportunity to watch Yodsaenklai in action and see Saenchai as well!!
October 20, 2010 at 3:48 am
LOL Yep, sure did get an invite allright=)
BTW, speaking of Vegas..Good luck to kevin in his upcoming bout against malaipet in Dec 5th!
And on a side note, just flew back home and popped in my gym to say Hi and who do I walk into but Attachai (formerly Fairtex)..Yods former stablemate. visiting and training for a few months. yes i was very starstruck and was rendered at loss for words Looks like winter training will be brisk..
October 20, 2010 at 6:10 am
thats kevin ross???
awesome
October 20, 2010 at 6:13 am
he probably hates my life for what i said about americas nak muays.
<3
October 20, 2010 at 8:58 am
Naw, I agree that 95% of American Nak Muays are a joke and hurt the sport with their lack of dedication and discipline. Sure we don’t have as many opportunities to fight as the rest of the world, don’t have as good of training. are on the other side of the world and haven’t had muay thai as long. But everyone has obstacles to overcome. Just because someone else might have something easier than you doesn’t mean that you can’t accomplish the same things or even greater. The only thing that truly matters is what’s in your heart and what you are willing to do in order to achieve your goals. Nothing is impossible!
October 20, 2010 at 11:23 am
i agree. i grew up in LA area. i just like to be unbiased. its really kind of a mystery to me why we dont have a famous international competitor. my guess is that when muay thai was trying to gain popularity mma came in and people trained ‘striking’ labeled as muay thai. along with a whole lot of other factors i cant think of right now. promotion is a huge[if not the main reason] part of it too.the american muay thai community is a small one.but tightknit. almost seems like we’re underground. i also think that a lot of thai trainers dont dedicate themselves to their students cus they dont see the discipline and desire in their students. or maybe they themselves change and get lazy in the american lifestyle. they also wont get the recognition of training a rajaderm or lumpini champion here in the US. so they either genuinely want to train good fighters or just make ends meet. this also fucks up the whole flow and vibe of the gym. IMO a good gym is a gym where evryones mind is in the same place. to respect and to learn technique/culture, not train to beat someones ass in your next stree fight or feed your ego. when i see clips of lets say european gyms, they are mostly all training and no BS. just focusing on trying to learn. also people in europe have someone to say they wanna be like. in america kids ddont really have any american nak muay they want to emulate or was the one that got them into muay thai. yet.
i think its really the lack of genuine true muay thai fans in the US. we get decent fight cards here in LA, but thats only when a thai superstar is on it. and most of the audience is simply people supprting their fighters. i only say its a good fight card with a thai on it because most people ccan go into these fights with varying amounts of training. like the first 5 bouts could have a person that trained 3 months fighting someone that trained 2 years. 80% of the time its a bar fight in a ring.
an amatuer mma bout cost like 40-50 general admission.no name cards too.seriously. i been to two. for free of course. absolutely horrible fights. that means people will pay stupid ampounts just cus it had the ‘mma’ title in it. when they could have watched an awesome pro muay thai card full of action and technique for less.
iirc you just had some recent great victories using good technique. and have a rare composed style as opposed to the wild stuff i usually see from other US nak muays. ill have to check them again. especially since you extended an ass whooping invitation to me. heh. good luck with your training.i hope you represent more as you progress in your training.

Guys could someone post the youtube link for this fight. I searched youtube and was not able to find the link for this latest fight. Ofcourse the old fights are available. Also these video’s in MMT are not playing.
Any help is really appreciated.
October 20, 2010 at 6:37 pm
didnt see any available after these were taken down. they also werent the best quality and the camera angle blocked some of the action. if thats any consolation.
October 22, 2010 at 1:44 pm
Thanks SE for the input.
March 8, 2011 at 11:03 pm
for those of you who missed this the first time around the vids have been reposted after being removed… enjoy!
March 9, 2011 at 2:29 am
it makes ABSOLUTELY NO sense why he won.
March 9, 2011 at 4:23 am
thanks for reposting this, i completely missed out on the first time around.
if jwp fought all 5 rounds like he fought the 5th round, i could see that being a win for him but yod just landed heavier, more punctuating shots.
jwp’s wild chicken dance after hearing he won was hilarious. i wonder if he’s gonna retire from fighting now?
March 9, 2011 at 4:50 am
LOL jake…..
