Yodbuagnarm vs. Lertsila
February 24, 2009 by nopstar

Another great technical bout. I think the last time we saw Lertsila in action was back in October, when he fought Kaew Fairtex, and Yodbuagnarm again a few weeks ago against Kaew.
You might have caught a glimpse of Sanchai ringside… I guess he’s keeping an eye on the competition. Sanchai is the current titleholder for this division at Lumpini. I’m not really sure I’d call it competition, but Yodbuagnarm is ranked 4th and Lertsilla 10th in the superfeather weight division. Kaew is actually ranked first, so I’m sure a Sanchai and Kaew fight is going to happened sometime in the near future.
I think Lertsila (blue shorts) is one of the most technical defensive fighters I’ve seen. His speed and his ability to sidestep and slip attacks make dangerous. You’ll see that he stands close enough to invite kicks, but Yodbuagnarm must have wiffed at least 6 or 7 of them, only to be scored upon by Lertsila’s follow up. My trainer Neungsiam would say that as soon as your opponent starts slipping your kicks, focus primarily on his mid-section as it’s almost impossible to slip.
Lertsila’s ability to disrupt his Yodbuagnarm’s flow of attack is also incredibly impressive. There were a couple of times he hooked Yodbuagnarms lead leg as he stepped into some punches. (Jongsanan‘s specialty) Finally I don’t know how he’s able to deliver so many teeps? His timing is sick… there were instances when I was watching this, where I was trying to anticipate his teeps and they just seemed to materialize for nowhere!
(Note to self, need to work on teeps)

good find Nop.
What weight are these guys fighting at?
Super Featherweight – 130 lbs
Last night It just happened that we drilled teeps for nearly an hour. I honestly don’t know how he gets his teeps out so fast. I was either too early or too late. (mostly)
I know a majority of it is timing… but it makes this vid that much more impressive.
heres another match between them
