April 30, 2007 by nopstar
If you guys are into Muay Thai and K-1 which I know you are, you should really check out K-1 Fans. I have to say of all the forums I’ve been on it’s one of the most informed forums on Muay Thai and K-1. Currently there is a thread discussing the meaning of your favorite fighter’s names.
If you’re curious you should definitely join and ask away. These are the names translated by the forum member Gaggam. I speak Thai and I don’t know what half of these names mean. These are just a few, if you want to see more head over to the thread.
As far as bad ass names go I think Lumsongkram takes the cake. I think my fighter name would be Nopstar Lumdakmunfarang (built to eat french fries) By the way how tough does he look mugging the camera in the contender thailand promo clip? You can can see him in the last 10 seconds of the clip.

Yo….thanx for this post man…..I had no idea about some of those names. I only knew that Buakaw means “White Orchid”.
lumsongram is the tallest thai i’ve ever seen . . .he looks like he might have chinese in him though .. . .
The names kind of remind me of Native American tribal names. In stead of sitting bull my name would be sitting duck. Or maybe banana bag boy.
