Today’s Muay Thai Minute is brought to you buy Watcharachai Muay Thai. Be sure to turn on you closed captioning… If you read my previous post I described his fighting style as elusive.
One of the things that Watcharachai kept trying to emphasis with me is capitalising on your opponents openings, and how to create those openings. A common reaction to a leg kick is to check the kick, or move out of range. To Watcharachai’s point, it doesn’t create any opennings. He would rather you keep you slip the kick to create that very brief moment for you to strike. The stance and movement reminds me quite a bit of Sanchai.
This won’t work all the time… your opponent if they’re worth a damn will adapt and overcome. You need to continually mix it up…. Anyway have fun with this.
