Up Next: K-1 Hong Kong

Well K-1 Hong Kong is this Sunday. So notable match ups are Hong Man Choi vs. Gary Goodrich, Park Yong Soo vs. Musashi and the one I care about Badr Hari and Peter Graham.

Choi vs. Goodrich
I’ve said this in the past, but I’m really disappointed with the state of the K-1 heavy weights. I’m find myself conflicted over Choi and Goodrich. I dislike them equally. I haven’t see Choi fight in a while; I think his height will make it difficult for Goodrich to get off his haymaker. Choi on the other hand is slow… if he can get some knees off he might have a chance. I think it’s going to Goodrich by Dec. What do you guys think?

Park Yong Soo vs. Musashi
It’s not secret how I feel about Soo. I met the guy while I was at Sinbi. He’s a nice enough guy; I don’t have issues with him as a person. I just don’t think he’s a very good fighter. He’s just got a long way to go. It also seems like dude is never in shape. I think training out of Sinbi might have cured him of that. Musashi on the other hand is getting old. I was surprised to seem him lose to Fujimoto who I found appalling. I’m calling Musashi on this one. He’ll be fresh, and he’s still got skills. Musashi by KO. Is it me or is Musashi looking more and more like a gangster?

The press conference was today, Hari was trying to be mature, hats off to him for keeping his trap shut. Graham, well he’s just being Graham. Here is an excerpt from Mat Magazine. For those of you don’t know about there special bond you should check this out first.

“This spring Hari became the first fighter to win the new K-1 Heavyweight Belt, and the former bad boy was decidedly more reserved in his comments today: “I am thankful for all the chances and all the great things that K-1 has given me. What happened with Peter last year made me stronger, I lost the fight but I it made me more motivated and better, so thanks Peter!”
Graham couldn’t resist a dig: “I came here to take away everything K-1 gave him, we will fight again and I will beat him again. Badr said ‘thank you’ — well Sunday I want to help him to become even more mature”

I’m calling Hari by Ko, despite his show of restraint and respect, I think Hari has a huge score to settle. On the other end I think Graham overestimates his skills and underestimate Hari’s… which make ideal conditions for someone getting KTFO.

Graham is an asshole. No class….he’s obviously never heard of the saying “forgive and forget”….I lost a lotta respect for Hari after last year but he’s gettin it back now for being “Man” enough to admit his wrongs. I hope Graham get’s KTFO in the first round…..that would humble him and bring him back a notch. OTher than that…I don’t really care about none of the other fights.
Totally agree, the other matches just don’t do it for me.
