This past Saturday Turkey hosted a 4 man tournament using K-1 rules. The fighters were:
Kaoklai Kaennorsing (Thailand) vs Azem MAKSUTAJ (Switzerland) &
Magomed MAGOMEDOV (Russia) vs Yahya GULER (Turkey)
Here is the final with Kaoklai and Magomed

Caution spoiler:
So if any of you have been paying attention, I think this is the 3rd or 4th straight loss for Kaoklai. His last lost was against Tyrone Spong, Kaoklai did a little dancing with his hands down. Something that isn’t advisable against a straight Killa like Sprong. Kaoklai was out cold.
So another fairly serious KO… I don’t know if Kaoklai is fighting too far out of his weight or what. I’ve always cheered from Kaolai in K-1, I just hope that he can make some adjustments. I’d like to see him stick around, a lot longer.

I still remember when I was training in Thailand at Fairtex, Kaoklai was training next to me in the adjacent ring. It was awesome training along side Koaklai and Kaew Fairtex. He had fierce kicks and punches and the sheer sound of it alone was enough to discract me from my own training. But I didnt’ see those strikes in this match. What happened? He look lack-luster in this video and I was disappointed that he didn’t bring his game. He’s still quite young and needs to get out of this losing streak…

Last year I was training in the Rompo gym of Bangkok, there Magomedov and his brother was training, also Ignashov and Ramazan were, it was impressive to see them training, his power is incredible, it was an unforgettable experience.

Hey Valentin-
Do you train in Madrid? (I don’t have many readers from Spain) What’s the Muay Thai scene there like?
