When I was back in Bangkok last week I saw a bunch of ads for this upcoming movie. Can’t wait to see it, Its about the life of King Naresuan. King Naresuan was the King who liberated Siam (Thailand) from Burmese control. King Naresuan was also said to be skilled in the art of Muay Boran. For those of you don’t know, Muay Boran is the original art, that modern Muay Thai is derived from.

Dude, why didnt you take a pic of the movie poster?? That would have been cool. Also, is this the famous Tiger King that would show up in small village muay thai tournaments and wreck shop on fools? I hope it is still be playing when I am out there in Dec.

Dii Mak-
Your thinking about Phra Chao Sua (Sanphet VIII)
He ruled from 1703-1709.
King Naresuan (Sanphet II) ruled from 1590 -1605
The movie is going to be out in Dec. however unless your Thai is good, the subtitled version probably won’t come out till later.

Yes, in Bangkok at some of the nicer theaters they have “First Class” theaters. It’s about 500 baht ($12) for these seats. What do you get? A private lounge with drinks, assigned seats, huge lazy boy style seats in cubicles, blanket, and slippers. Sort of feels like a business/first class seat on a Jet. Here is more info
