Winner Take All

I’ve been talking about a Spong vs. Corbett for a while know… but it seems that Carnage has just upped the ante. I’m starting to believe that this fight might actually happen.  I’m wondering if the Slamm guys can’t get this fight to happen.  Both these guys have impressive records Spong is 79-3 (56 KO’s) and Carnage 39-2 (31 KO’s) Not sure if Carnage would fight him in Holland. This has got to happen.  I predict it will definitely go down in ’09.

It’s no secret I’m a big Spong fan… but Carnage seems to be making a lot of sense. I don’t think this would be an easy fight for Spong, far from it.  I think Tyrone has better hands, but I think Nathan’s elbows could make a huge difference. Word has it there were some issues with the money.  The latest twist is that Carnage has offered a winner takes all challenge.   That’s actually legit, I guess the ball is in Spong’s corner.  What you guys think… this going to happen or what?

Hola Amigo’s, I’ll end the week with one of my favorite fighters. This was from last weeks k1 Amsterdam.

I don’t know much about Makusutaj, but I have to imagine he’s a Kickboxer/Karateka based on his stance. It appeared to me that he was almost in a boxing stance for most of the fight. I’m surprised Spong wasn’t chopping down that lead leg. Then again it doesn’t surprise me, clearly Spong goal is to put him to sleep. Nice knee…

I hope they can make the Spong, Corbett fight happen. Anyway, hope you fellas have an excellent weekend. It’s a long weekend here in the UK, so I’m off.
