Happy New Years – 2551

Happy New years people, welcome to 2551.  As some of you may or may not know, today is the beginning of Sonkran (Thai New Years).  If your in Thailand and reading this post, you should probably put your computer away asap, before it get’s soaked.

Songkran, was originally calculated by a lunar calendar,(Birth of the Buddha) but now a days is fixed to the weekend.  If you’re in Bangkok your likely to wonder where the hell everyone went?  This is the weekend that people traditionally go home,  millions of people close up shop and migrate back to Issan and the north.
