What’s up Nak Muay’s?… Oh shnizzle I think broke commenting… with the whole logging system it appears that I’ve reduced commenting by about half.

Things on my end have been slightly hectic. I feel like I’m being pulled in several directions… like I’m doing a lot of things and none of them really well. I think we all go through these periods of funk, in work, training and life. I wanted to write something for Episode 13 but before I new it, the hours in my day seemed to just slip away. Read more

I haven’t really spent anytime talking about clinging. Clinging is a central theme of Buddhist logic and practice. One of my primary reasons for training used to be for stress management. I used to be a pretty high strung person. I mostly train today because, I enjoy and it helps me from getting too fat.

The Second Arrow

I’ve always had a profound respect for individuals who can bounce back after defeat. This is because I used to find it extremely difficult to do so. I used to run the scenario over and over in my head, usually beating myself up in the process.

My teacher once gave a dhamma talk on something called the Second Arrow. It’s one of Buddha’s more well know Read more

So I’ve heard some positive feedback about the posts I did on Meditation. Some of you have expressed interests, so here we go.
Meditation is apart of our art. Meditation is an integral part of the study and practice of Muay Boran. Most of the Thai fighters, I know don’t have a daily practice but are aware of it. As the art evolved into a sport, this was one aspect that was trimmed away.

Meditation isn’t unique to Buddhism or Asia. Many cultures and religions have various forms of mediation practice. As I mentioned in my previous post, almost anyone Read more
