What’s up fellas.  Can you believe it’s that time of year again… I didn’t see this one coming for some reason, it felt like we just saw the MAX Finals.  Well we are 6 days away from the 2008 K-1 World Max Finals.  * Correction…. apparently they are splitting the final up?  The next one is in Oct?  Can someone please explain.  I’ll do another post on your thoughts and predictions.  In the meantime I’ve got yet another outstanding clip from Shunsuke to whet your appetite. I’ve watched this at least a dozen or so times, even though it’s essentially a Souwer tribute video.  I suggest you turn this bitch up sit back and enjoy.

Traipsing about London

Some of you might be experiencing some déjà-vu seeing this post.  I had a post up last week, but some people were uncomfortable with it and asked to have it pulled.  I’ve had a lot of that this past week.  Quite frankly I’m getting a little tired of discussing the whole Jamaica event.

A dear friend of mine Romana originally introduced me to Lamsongkram (LA Show). Interview with David Pacquette

First things first, many thanks to Dave for taking time out of his training to speak with us.  I contemplated whether or not to redo the interview.  My camera doesn’t have an external mic so the sound is incredibly faint.  I’m looking for new camera as you read this.

I should have known better then to try to do the interview in such a noisy place.I highly recommend that you listen to the interview with headphones, you should be able to work out what David is saying.  He’s rather soft spoken and it’s difficult at times to hear what he’s saying.  I was thinking about transcribing but as you’ll see the interview runs 20+ min.  For those of you who can’t access veoh (gusnark) you can download the interview here.

If any of you are around this weekend, he’ll be fighting Cedric Muller this Sunday evening at York Hall in Bethnal Green.

My Chat With Kaoklai

A little while ago I bumped into Kaoklai and had a chance to have a quick chat with him. (Forgot to snap a pic with him) I was actually surprised by his size. Obviously he’s a heavier fighter but dudes legs are thick.

I asked him about his training… Basically he confirmed all of my suspicions. I’ve done a few posts on Kaoklai and I’ve always been a bit critical about his boxing abilities and strategy.
