Many thanks to our friends at the Contender Asia fans for posting these. My apologies for the 4 parts, but I wasn’t able to get the original dl.
Last but definitely not least, Sean vs. Soren. In my opinion the fight of the night. BTW, how nice was it not to have to listen to those guys? Another random observation… I think Sean has to have the worst Ram Muay… I’m not talking the Haduken. I think that’s pretty cool, but if you watch his ram muay it’s just awful. Once again it confirmed my suspicions about fairtex being left out, when they announced Soren’s full fight name…
Part II
Part III
Part IV
Sean was looking ripped, far more so then when he was in the house. I couldn’t believe their pace… a brief Thai lesson for you. Some of you might be wondering what the hell ” Mai Dtong Reep”! means… “You don’t have to rush” “Take your time” I think Soren’s corner was concerned about the pace as well.
I didn’t think Sean was going to gas as bad as he did. Soren’s knees are sharp, those definitely added up. I didn’t really notice before, but Sean’s rhythm is pretty unorthodox for Muay Thai, it’s as my boxing trainer would say it’s “herky jerky”
I know Sean is a good boxer, but I think he relied too much on his boxing tonight. I think Soren was still open to the right over hand, but he Sean didn’t seem to have an answer to Soren’s long knee.
Thoughts? Random observations?

Sean does look massive. Looks like he’s gotten more serious with his training. Remember in the the loft he was eating everything in sight. The haircut also makes him look older.
In my opinion the announcers were somewhat better than the punching and kicking sound effects. But this fight didn’t have either - just perfect.
Soren was working those knees hard and the low kicks were great from both of them.
Yea im up at 3 in the morning, supposedly studying for finals.
They should sell Contender Asia shorts

Ahmoy,
Yeah I noticed that, pretty funny… he was like, stop stalling and get the effe out of my way. It’s about 1:15 into the last clip.

Soren looks like he has rebounded well from his fight with Dzahbar; looked confident and knees were very sharp. Sean drives me nuts with his hands; too wide and too far out in front to do any damage and protect yourself.

That was a great fight! Not only because it was technical and the fighters were even, but especially because it was REAL. No commentators, fake sounds, million-angle cameras… just the ring, fighters and trainers. Just this pure atmosphere with trainers yelling, you can almost smell fighter’s sweat and blood.
Sean was better in the first two rounds, but then allowed Soren to do his clinch and knees thing. Good win for Soren… he’s is ok, but nothing special. He’s technical, but lacks power and can’t handle good boxers.
1:15 in the last clip… that was hilarious as if saying “Get away or you’ll kiss pigs skin!”
“Mai Dtong Reep!” thanx for clarification.

extract fm Zach’s blog on y soren was so hungry for a win and out fm Soren’s mouth:”4 straight losses can do that to you”!

I don’t know if it’s because Sean just doesn’t match up well against Soren or if he just had an off night, but he didn’t look nearly as impressive or crisp as his fights on the show. This was a great fight to watch. Super high energy and lots of knees and elbows. Man, Soren’s punch, punch and walk in with straight knees combo is simple but I’ll be damned if it doesn’t work!
