Somrak Speaks

September 17, 2009 by nopstar

Another interview with Somrak on MuayMag.com,   Basically, dude is probably play a couple of pickup soccer games in preparation for his showdown with the Muscles from Brussels.  Somrak is like, yeah so what..? dude is like 50 and I’m gonna get paid!  “The Commander at Home” classic… super star nakmuay worried about getting beat down by the old lady, aint that the truth.

Yeah, he looks like hell… but he’s still got the skills.  Does anyone have any footage of Van Damage?  He does realize that doing splits and punching people in the crotch isn’t going to win this for him right?  Well here’s some footage of Somrak from back in the day.  Many thanks to GKfromMTA for sharing this with us.

The commentator says that Somrak had his first fight at 7 and made a whopping 10 baht… old school.  Enjoy.

Haha, I dunno guys. If bloodsport has taught me anything, it’s JCVD can fight even without his vision… and I hope Somrak is indeed working on his dim mak defense, that’s deadly stuff.

I saw the exclusive interview of Somrak Kamsing in Thailand talk show called ” Tha-Saa-Waang ( Open Eyes ). I was kind surprise when he mention he is going to have a fight against Jean Claude Van Damme. According to my friend Somrak, he said that there is nothing official yet, even Somrak himself has not met Van Damme yet. Somrak said he met Van Damme at K-1 Tournament at Turkey, they didn’t even talk to each other.

A little after that incident , Somrak received a phone call from Van Damme manager to make this fight happen. The promise on the contract is 5,000,000 Baht to fight, 25,000 for Training. Somrak have already hand his contract to the good lawyer ( O-Sod- Sapaa ) who read over the contract form for him.

So far, I believe in Somrak , but I don’t believe in Van Damme. If this fight is not happens , it mean Van Damme is playing some funny joke. As matter of fact, a few year ago. Van Damme came over to my good friend gym in North Hollywood ( Muay Thai Academy ) where Malaipet Sitpraprom train at the time. Van Damme ask to sparring with Malaipet. The story was, Malaipet slap him around like little kid.

My prediction, if the fight is happen, Van Damme is not gonna make it; even if the K-1 rule. You all have to understand that Somrak is a really talented fighter even though he has not train like he used to be back in the old days. However, if you watch all his show fight in the past years, he is way out of shape but still show the superior technique of Muay Thai. As matter of fact, in Turkey he won the K-1 Turkey Title.

In conclusion , Van Damme will understand the different between Movie and Real life. It is a big different. That is also go to ” Tony Jaa” You could move and act in front of the camera ; that does not mean you could fight. The bottom line is it might be the end career of Van Damme; therefore, he has to find something to advertise himself. I don’t blame the guy but he pick the wrong sport to advertise himself.

If I had anymore info I will post the comment like wise, you all take care now.
