Somluck Khamsing is set for another match up with former great Yodwanpetch. This fight is “historic” because it has the largest side bet in our sports history. Currently the side bet is 5.25 Million THB, or about $170K, that’s some serious cheese. That’s retirement money in Thailand, unless of course your somluck and you blow it gambling.
According to Somluck this is the hardest he’s ever trained for a fight… kind of funny as he’s had a reputation for being extremely lax in his training. He even called out Buakaw! Saying Buakaw only fights foreigners who aren’t up to it… I’d pay to see that.
The video is a interview that the Sinbi team put together. Yodwanpetch trained most of the trainers at Sinbi. Now he’s back there with his “family” preparing for his battle with Somluck.

Nice interview with Yodwanpetch.
It’s always encouraging to see older fighters talk about their past and place in the sport. Not a ton of tattoos, no screaming into the camera, no boasting, just talking and offering some perspective on muay Thai.
Somrak is Somrak, but I’m supporting the old man in this fight.
