Singdam vs. Yodbuagnam
November 14, 2008 by nopstar
Thought I would leave you guys this week with some quality Muay Thai action. This fight took place about 3 weeks ago, against the current Lumpini champion Singdam (black lion) 128 lbs vs. the 4th ranked Yodbuagnam (most beautiful lotus) 130lbs
Some of you may recognize the name Singdam… His fight with Anuwat was voted fight of the year. If I’m not mistaken Anuwat knocked out Singdam in the 3rd to snatch his belt.
In typical Thai fashion the first few rounds are uneventful, the 3rd and 4th are fantastic. Anyway enough chit chat… enjoy. Many thanks to bsfbkhdj for the upload.

wow, some heavy duty exchanges. what timing.
Hey Nop – what did the commentator say about Kaew Fairtex at 0:46 of the first vid?
Thanks Mai… This is some beautiful stuff..
You got to love the ref screaming at the fighters..Oh and then he falls on his ars. hahah
Not impressed.
A lot of roundhouse kicks and that’s all.
Nopstar,
“Yodbuagnam (most beautiful lotus)”
I don’t understand thai, so what does Yod mean?
As I know bua means lotus. And the rest?
Gusnark
are you serious?
No.
I was being sarcastic and little drunk when writing this. Bad idea.
Guys, never watch MT drunk, lol.
Singdam was a clearly better fighter here.
Yodbuagnam was trying, but couldn’t harm him and most of his kicks were super blocked, I’m surprised the guys can still walk after this fight. Singdam has sick timing… didn’t have luck against Anuwat.

I rarely drink, but I sometimes visit Mary Jane, and I find that to be a different way of watching MT, Its like you look at it philosofically and from a different perspective than usually. Dont mistake me for a Stoner, but I do enjoy it sometimes and its kinda enlightning. Not starting any discussions here, but the fight was Good, just didnt know which one was who.
ShadyEskimo,
on friday night I enjoy drinking a beer (or two hehe) with my friends and have a nice relaxing conversation.
Check the picture of the first clip. Singdam is the one on the left.
Well as a half Greenlander, Booze and Me does not Match, I get the worst hangovers and get drunk fast! It was studied that Greenlanders or Inuits or Eskimoes, take your pick, geneticly react badly with alchohol because it is so New and has never been in our past until the Danes introduced it some 80 years ago. We are not used to it, like Europeans or Asians who have their own traditional Alchohol. Im am half danish but I still feel like a 100% greenlander when it comes to drinking.
If i’m not mistaken, Anuwat, KOed Singdam twice.
ShadyEskimo,
that’s interesting. I’ve heard stuff about Eskimos tolerating alcohol pretty bad. I’ve also heard that a lot of Eskimos are alcoholics. I’m not sure where I’ve read this.
We’ll from time to time it’s nice to get drunk I guess, hehe.
I’m not even done watching the fight, and I can’t help but ask, “why the fuck does the ref keep shouting at them?”
They’re constantly pressing the action! Why does the ref have to tell them to fight when they’re already doing it non-stop? I wonder if they are able to shut it out, or if it bothers them, or if it actually motivates them to fight harder…???
Great fight. It’s funny but before even reading everyone’s comments I was all like ” what the eff is that ref’s problem. He is getting in the way.” Dude actually almost gets clipped a few times and falls down at 3:41 in what.. the 4th?
Nop, what is the ref’s motivation for sticking his hand in between them after every exchange? Is that like saying “Fight” or press on? I don’t get it. It was like he felt he “had” to do that after every exchange, and both the fighters are like get the fuck outta here man.. Seemed particularly noticeable on this fight.
When the ref sticks his hand in between the fighters, that looks like the same thing that the ref does in boxing, which is to have them fight or make more action. I think this is the same in MT, right?
