Semmy Schilt Vs. Might Mo Amsterdam K1 GP 2007

I’m not really sure what to say… I guess I’ll start off by saying thank god K-1 has MAX. I’ve never been a fan of Schilt, I think he’s atrocious to watch. I’ve never really been a fan of Mighty Mo either; he’s like a character straight out of the punch out.

I don’t really feel like putting this fight up, but I feel like I owe it to you. As always props to WeLoveKamatari for sharing.

I was really at a loss, I wasn’t sure who I wanted to win, I guess neither really. K1 is in desperate need of heavy weight talent. I was on Sherdog today and there was a thread comparing Schilt to Tim Silvia… They are both huge and goofy…I’m no fan of Schilt but I think that comparison is way too harsh.

Aerts and Hoost have put in their time and have done their part to take K1 to where it is. The organization desperately needs some young talent to come and take over the reigns. I’ve yet to see it happen. The execs at K1 need to realize that having fighters like Sapp, Akebono, Choi et al. are short term fixes, they may drive immediate interest and sales, but their novelty will soon wear out. I hope Sapp put some money aside.
