There were some pretty good fights this past week and weekend. I’m going to hold off reporting for a day or so… so I can scrounge up some footage. The big bout last week went down at Big Hearts 8 in Tokyo Japan.
Muay Thai & K-1 vet Kozo Takeda against Contender Asia Semi-finalist Sean Wright. I’m still searching for footage of the fight… It should have been a leg kick throw down as it’s the favored technique of both these fighters.
I haven’t been able to find any commentary on the fight, but it appears that it went the distance. Big up to Baggy of the K-1 Forums for providing these quality pics.
Clearly all we have to focus on are these pics, but I’ve got to say Sean is looking ripped! I think he’s seriously picked up his training… Being on the Contender Asia has given these guys such a huge career boost. Sean went from relative obscurity to headlining a main event in a little under a year.
Every time I turn around it seems like one of the “Contenders” is fighting, good for them… get it while it’s hot.

Nice abs sean thats at least 400-600 sit ups a day and the willpower to walk past 7/11 without munching on cream custard cakes and tim tams….(or is it just me that does that?)….good effort.

I thought Takeda would KO him.

Ha ha my right thigh still hurts! Back in training though just not taking to many low kicks yet! I would love another crack at Kozo at some point. I feel I didn’t really perform at my best and would love to get back over to Japan too. S
