Schwag: Duvide Jump Rope

August 28, 2007 by nopstar

My personal philosophy is that if you’re going to use something often, it’s okay to spend a bit more if the craftsmanship or “quality” is there. I ran across this today and thought I would share.

You’ve see the $100 mouth guards; well here’s the Duvide Jump Rope. I guess if you’re really into your rope jumping and you’re loaded then you could justify buying one of these. I’m assuming the thing is the Rolls, of Jump ropes, I haven’t run across one more expensive.

Leave it to the Germans to engineer a $85 jump rope, oh and shipping to the States… $45. I like the idea, but I fully hope one of you guys would slap me if I rolled into the gym with one of these.

Thank you for mentioning one of my jump ropes. The model above is really the Rolls Royce of jump ropes although I rather call it the Porsche of jump ropes. If you go to my site you will find some lower priced ropes which are currently used in Thai boxing gyms around Thailand e.g. the dS.
If you have any questions regarding the duvide Jumpropes, contact me through the website.
    Thanks/Frank

PS. Distribution in the US will be available soon

I’ll take one of the thick blue Thai ‘hoses’ that we use to have at FNF over this. DAMN They hurt in the winter though..

Nice ropes, but I just can’t see myself buying a jump rope for that much. Call me cheap.

hey Mai, i could swear your rope that i picked up the other day was one of those!!…no seriously i think it was one of the cheaper models. But i wanted to ask everone a question. What do you prefer the heavy or light ropes? and what are the main advantages and dissadvantages of each?

I bought some from Boonsport in BKK and they’re the shit. I used to use the heavy plastic thai ropes, but they all end up snapping in a couple of months… I think these ropes will be the last I ever own.
