Lions Fight Promtion is throwing another card. The promoters were pretty smart to line up the rematch between Marcus and Schilling so quick. If you can’t remember the two boxers last bout ended in controversy over a trip. Some (from Schillings’ camp) declared the trip illegal, while others (Marcus and company) said it was all fair. The trip knocked Schilling’s dome and he was out on his feet making the fight end quickly thereafter.

The rest of the bouts should be great. Matt Embree, a technical fighter who just won his rubber match with Coke, is fighting a Swedish fighter, Widlund. Romie Adanza is also rematching “Boom” Watthanya. The two faced off about a year ago. Romie knocked out his “Boom” with a knee to the head. Adanza has been on a string of victories knocking out Luangselek and Tomonori.

Malaipet will also cash his paycheck after his bout with Justin Greskiewicz.

About mlucas

Born to a working class family in rural New York I grew up working like a dog and drinking Natural light in the woods. After a brief stint attempting to escape the poverty of employment via university I gave up on escaping the grind and moved to sunny California where the burritos are as generous as the weather. I work in the service industry slinging booze and food. I got into Muay Thai as a recreational activity. I saw an interclub fight and decided to try it out, everyone has to test their mettle somehow. A few fights and a year later I was in Thailand training, and fighting. I haven’t quit stepping into the ring since. I currently live in West Oakland and balance my time blocking punches with my head with attempting to prevent brain deterioration through writing, studying Thai; language, culture and history, and going to wild dance parties with my friends.

  1. LOL…..yes he will cash that check.

  2. Its great that MT is getting bigger in the states, but cant they find anyone else to fill these cards with.Im not sure Why Malapait keeps fighting, or getting fights?I believe that the winner of the schilling/Marcus fight gets to fight Artem Levin in Thailand, I think this is a bit stupid I dont think Schilling has done enough or fought enough people to gain that outcome.I feel Marcus should have that match regardless, or is it just that theres not many people at this weight category?

  3. I don’t think there are many in that weight category. If Schilling beat Marcus I think he would deserve a shot against Levin, but personally I don’t think that’s going to happen.

    • Also I think they do a decent job of reaching out. I mean what other show in North America is bringing guys from across the country, not to mention overseas, all on one card? True they have their household names but they are also guys that keep winning, so I’m down with watching them fight again.

  4. I want to see Adanza fight a decent Thai, let alone a good Thai. A top 50 guy at 115 or 118 would be nice.

  5. Filmeu, Lungsalek is pretty solid. He’s young, I think not even 18. He’s not top tier but he’s a solid fighter. If you go back and watch the fight Adanza was getting beat up until he landed two big uppercuts. That said I’d like to see Adanza fight some top guys as well. I think it might be a little harder to ship the smaller fighters out as they might not be as big of a draw?

  6. yup. lungsalek is far from a push over.

romie has hands. theres no doubting that.
