Samkor vs Ray Staring

As always these things take time to get upload and disseminated for our viewing pleasure. This fight took place about a month ago. As always big thanks to WeLoveKamatari for the upload.
As you can see Samkor looks like he’s seen better days. He looks like the Thai Wolverine. Don’t get me wrong, he’s still wrecking fools, he’s just getting close to retirement.
I had the great fortune to do a private with Samkor a while back. When he was holding for me, I think he might have had me kick half a dozen times with my left.
You can tell from his fighting style, he’s all about kicking you into submission. I don’t know much about Staring except for the fact that he’s a tough and well regarded fighter.
Personally, if he had better hands, Samkor would have been in a world of trouble. I’m not going to say Staring came in too confident, but you can never count a guy like Samkor out. His entire life has revolved around being a Nak Muay, he may be slightly out of shape, but he’s still got his weapons.
Looks like Samkor could spend some time with Mark.
OMG!, i don’t keep track of Samkor much but he sure looks like he’s been hanging around the bars in Pattaya way too much. Is it just me or did Samkor just KO Ray by kicking him through his blocking glove, if so then wow lots of power!.
This Samkor is barely recognizable as the Samkor of 10 years ago. And at 37, most Thai fighters his age would have retired MORE than 10 years ago. But it’s obvious the dude sure still loves fighting. It’d be interesting to see him drop 10-15 pounds and see how he does against more his natural size.
And I agree with Paul PP: I watched it about 5 times, and it looks as if Samkor kicked Starlings own glove into his face, and that knocked him out. Gotta love those southpaws…
Samkor is fat. It is sad.
I uploaded the Hisanori Maeda vs. Ryuji Kajiwara AJKF fight on my youtube account as well, you should check it out. Tournament setting but with elbows allowed and it’s also my fight of the year. One of the commentators was actually in tears.
As for this fight, Samkor couldn’t even make weight properly and was given a point deduction. Ray was supposed to be too much for the fat Samkor.
Samkor’s next fight in November will be against Yutaro Yamauchi who drew with Staring earlier this year.
Samkor looks like all my uncles from a small province in the Philippines.
Also, Samkor will always have power in that left kick if nothing else.
Samkor is the man!! Mad respect what a way to come back from loosing to Villaume hes a world class champion and athlete. he needs to cut a bit of weight and he will be on top…….shame on Sterling to offend such a fighter he got what he deserved
