This past Saturday, Peter Crooke in his retirement fight faced off against his hero and Muay Thai Legend Sakmongkol. For those of you who don’t know who Peter Crooke is He’s an English fighter who’s been wrecking fighters in the European SuperLeague. Some of his notable wins have been against tough opponents such as Jordan Tai, Khunphon, and Malaipetch.

Sakmongkol, who’s last major win was against John Wayne Parr in 2004. I had mentioned Sakmongkol in a previous post, as he was a great rival and friend of Jongsanan. I had mentioned to Noom that “Sak” was fighting this week, it was the first he had heard about it. Without hesitation he said he won’t have any problems… I asked Noom if he knew where “Sak” was training. He said he positive but the last time they spoke he was training out of Muay Thai Plaza. If anyone can verify this it would be greatly appreciated.
As Noom predicted Sakmongkol was victorious, winning on points. I hope to have the video clip of the fight soon.

Hi Guys
Yes i had my retirement fight against my all time favourite fighter Sakmongkol. It was an excellent fight and was very close many people saying it should have been a draw. I was just happy to know in my heart that it was a close fight which could have gone either way and that i pushed him back all the way through the fight and that i got a lot of respect from him. They presented me with his mongkon after the fight, which i will treasure.
Thanks guys

Hi Peter-
Congrats to you on a long and eventful career. I know you’ve beaten both Khunphon and Malaipetch who are as legit as it gets. I only wish I would have had the opportunity to watch you fight in person. Give a shout if you’re ever visiting San Francisco.
Thanks,
Nopstar
