The other week while on the MMT Tour, I ran into Saiyok at Lumpini, got a few minutes of his time to chat. It’s slightly amusing, but for those of you who’ve had a chance to meet him, he’s got a really high pitched voice. He’s sort of like Mike Tyson… you see this beast of a man destroy people in the ring… then you speak to him… let’s just say it’s disjointed
He’s one of my favorite fighters so it was quite a treat to spend a few moments with him. I just saw his footage from Thai Fight extreme and could see why he thought it was sort of a wasted trip. I may have heard him incorrectly but I think he said they landed in Amsterdam and took a bus all the way to Canne? Seriously who the hell is their travel agent? He said he’s got a bit on this year, he was too specific but said he had a fair bit lined up internationally. Unfortunately nothing for the UK…
Anyway if you haven’t seen the clip, here it is… don’t wander two far away from the computer. I’ve included a link to his latest fight with Andre Kulebin. It’s hosted on our facebook page. This fight took place yesterday and was part of the “fight factory arena” show in Hong Kong. Samkor was also on the ticket… Kulebin as most of you know is no Muay Thai Slouch. This fight seems to be apart of Saiyoks new strategy…

i’ll concede that i couldn’t see the cuts that well, but i gotta say “holy shit ! are you kidding me ? ” after the first fight was gonna blame typical european caution but the second one was just as lame…i know, i know, i’m not the one in there taking the punishment, but aren’t these guys professional fighters ?
haven’t we all seen thai cuts or western boxing as bad or worse, yet the fight continued ? jesus, with ring docs and corner men like these, arturo gatti would’ve been washing dishes for a living !

What up Mai. I saw this fight in HK. He was kicking his opponents ass before it got stopped in the first round because of a cut. He is one great fighter.

wow Saiyok is one of the few fighters I like to follow and will watch full fight.. most others I find myself fast forwarding every now and then.. I saw a link to this fight on youtube. The uploader has alot of interesting uploads including buakaws fights in his younger days before k1 and the video quality isnt too bad eigther considering its his old fights. Can see the uploaders channel here
