As always huge props to loopnoub for posting this for us. I’m actually quite surprised that we got footage as fast as we have. This was the Lumpini vs. France show held the other night in Paris.
This was the main event of the evening , Saiyok Phumpammuang and Abdallah Mabel in a Super Welterweight fight for Saiyok’s Lumpini Championship Belt.
I’ll be posting more of the fights, but the other match to look out for is Rungravee Sasiprapa vs. Ozkul Yetkin.
Enjoy!

Wow great show. Congrats to both me on a Royal Rumble. They should rematch them, I am sure it will be a fight their managers could argue for a higher payday since they obviously will bring it

saiyok is all over the place though. fight seemed a bit sloppy.

i think they were both frustrated by eachother’s range, thats why most of the shots either seemed too short or too far off. saiyok seemed to be an extra slippery bastard this fight so mabel never really got to string anything substantial together. must be annoying to deal with that.
saiyok, in all his chaotic glory, did put on an intense show of force. everytime he caught mabel’s kick or saw mabel open up, he made him pay in the most brutal way haha. it was never just a kick – return, it seemed to be a kick-run him into the ropes and jumping head kick, etc.
i was praying saiyok would straighten out some of those punches and level mabel whenever he came in with that silly jumping shit.

Saiyok also looked smaller than before- maybe it’s just his fiery hair that makes his body look smaller. Good fight for Saiyok. Abdallah has long limbs and appeared to frustrate Saiyok a bit. I like Saiyok’s aggressive style, but this one was a bit sloppier than I’m used to seeing in him.

why cant we see the yods saiyoks guys of this cailber in k1.. I know pajunsuk had great fight but like to see some of the top guns up there

jojo,
we dont really want to see them in K1. maybe for them to make some good money if the opportunity is there. but it would be a shame to have them not fight full MT rules.
also, the thing that actually entertains me about K1 and why i actually watch it is because a lot of their fighters are characters and have unique personalities. K1 does well with building fighters personalities and stories.
In MT usually you just go for the guy who has the best skill and technique.

Good fight, I’ve been a fan of Saiyok since I saw his fight with Stevelmans. He seems a little looser and wild in this one. Definitely want to see a rematch to see if either makes any adjustments.
Not a fan of the hair though, makes him look like a sleazy / creepy Masato.

he looks like a korean pop singer ok?
lets not hold back.
as supposed heterosexual males why do we care about his hair?
i have no clue. but its disturbing some of us folks.

It’s an Asian metrosexual thing. Buakaw colored his hair years back and Manny Pacquiao had that hair back in the day too.

I was confused about why a Lumpini title fight would occur in Paris. Hadn’t realized that Lumpini now has a 154lbs division. A number of foreigners (ie, French) apparently are ranked in the top-10 (eg, Villaume, Lidon, Antuan) – and I guess Mabel, too.
After seeing Mabel throw down hard previously against Petrosyan and Kem, I expected a much more aggressive performance from him. But, it seemed to me that Mabel’s confidence was shaken by Saiyok’s vicious timing and power as early as the first round. He did show a flash of his former fury at the start of R5, but that didn’t last. It’s tiresome to see farang resort to angry flying knees when their game is shut down by superior tactics and timing. Flying knee = Muay Thai’s “Hail Mary”.

hahahahaha @ the farang flying knee being muay thai’s hail mary.
