The Thai PR machine that is the Thai Fight continues to gather steam. There plan to increase awareness and viewership of Muay Thai seems to be paying off. It’s been a ratings success for Channel 3 and from the turn out seems like we’ll continue to see more and more from Thai Fight. That being said I doubt we’ll see any credible match up for sometime.
Most of the Thai fighters are virtually unknown in Thailand. Buakaw is the exception, They’ll continue to protect him for as long as they can. The Thai Fight shows will continue to promote the shows, they’re in the business of creating hero’s. They want to sell tickets, they want everyday Thai’s coming out to shows, not just gamblers. If they’re going to do that, they’ll need to continue to feed the Thai talent Hicham Chaibi, and Dong su kim’s…

The rest of the rounds can be viewed here.
That being said, Hicham faired well for someone who’s only had 24 fights. He seemed a little bigger then Saiyok, but they’ve got to give you something when you’ve only had 24 fights. As for Saiyok, I don’t really care who he fights’ I’ll alway support him… he always keeps it interesting.
Again many thanks to Duangaes for taking the time to share with us, and thanks to Dave “Suk Jai” Fox for passing this along.
