This was the bout I was most eager to see,  You know will bring it.  Props to Craig, I thought he did well.  There was a moment in between rounds when they were showing the hl clips from the round, the crowd gave a ooooh when landed a big kick or something couldn’t remember, I looked over at Craig and he let a smile slip, he really looked like he was enjoying himself.

The following day back in London, I hosted Seminar with Saiyok and Armin, most of the seminar participants either had a play or a clinch with Armin, Saiyok was nursing his leg.

During the Q&A session, someone asked Saiyok how do you fight through pain, or how do you deal with pain, something along those lines.  His answer was interesting.  Somewhere towards the end of the first round Saiyok had hurt his leg, enough so that it was a cause for concern.  Saiyok went on to say, you cannot under any circumstances show that you’ve been hurt.  Once you’ve done that, it’s pretty much over for you.  He said that if Craig would have picked up on that, it would have been a real issue. The fact that Craig didn’t pick up on it, he moved on to other things…

I’m trying to rewatch the fight to figure what it could have been, but to be honest Saiyok throws each kick at 110% it could have been any of his kicks.

Chilling before the fight

  1. Great fight, and yea I think of times when I’ve broken my hands or injured myself in some way during a fight. As it happens I always feel as if it was obvious, like I took a minute or something, then I will go back and watch the fight and have a hard time finding the moment when the injury occured

  2. Not only was this a great fight but I liked the music Saiyok came in on! Does anyone know what that was?

    • Here’s the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASeIFNuR0rY

Song name is Muay Thai and the artist name is “Sam Tohn” or Three Tone in English

      • Wow, thanks sir I appreciate it. Been watching this fight over and over. Saiyok and Pornsaneh are two of my favorite fighters, and when Saiyok came out to this it just really set the mood of the fight for me!
