Those of you who’ve been around MMT for a while will be quite familiar with this ferocious Nak Muay, Rungravee Sasiprapa. This bout was from last week and they’re fighting for the vacant 126 lb channel 7 stadium title…
Both fighters have a very hard hitting styles and savage leg kicks… should be interesting.

Rungravee is a beast in the ring. He just looks unstoppable. Did he ever win a championship at raja or lumpinee

Not that I know of. He mostly only fights on TV broadcasts because of his fan friendly style. He would likely get outclassed against top performers in the big leagues. I’ve always thought of him as kind of a poor mans Ponsaneh. Not saying he’s a crappy fighter, he’s obviously awesome, but just not on that top tier level.
Rungpet is normally best at 120-122, but the promoter still thought of him as the better fighter going into this. He had to make 123, while Rungravee had to make 125. Basically they’re saying at an even weight Rungpet is too good.

wow thats very interesting. Thanks Fimeu. Just shows how much depth they have of class fighters in Thailand.

I have to agree with Fimeu, he is good and entertaining to watch but he is simply not good enough.for Lumpinee and Rajadamnern.
Possible opponents around his weight would be e.g. Kongsak et al. and I do not see him beating any of those.

i have to agree with banana..@125-126 vs Sam-a or a Rungruanglek i dont see Rungravee going anywhere

Very good. Rungravee is a beast.. This match was very even. Rungpetch is very good in clinch, hand Rungravee in trouble for some time. Rungravee still landed more kicks which was the deciding factor.
Overall. very top notch fight.

Great fight to watch..hmm, was it really that close though? I’m trying to improve my knowledge of how fights are scored and from what I could tell it seemed like Rungravee got ahead in rounds 1 & 2 and Rungpetch was trying to catch up and growing more and more desparate as the fight went on..For the other three it seemed like Rungpetch increasingly got behind on points until in the last round Rungravee was just holding him off on the outside and coasting to the win?
