ROAD TO GLORY will be in Los Angeles February 9th, 2013 Next Saturday at Hollywood Park Casino. There will be a one night 187 LBS Tournament featuring Eddie Walker and Mike Lemaire along with five “Full Rules” Muay Thai fights. The winner of the one night tournament will win $20,000 and a one year contract with GLORY. The tickets are $40.

Eddie Walker from Atlanta, GA name came on the radar when he beat Joe Schilling last year in October at “Lion Fight 7.” Eddie had been knocked down twice and caught Joe Schilling off guard with a right cross knocking him out in the second round. His trainer is five time Champion Manu Noth.

Mike Lemaire comes out of San Diego and trains with another well known and respected trainer Melchor Menor. Mike is undefeated fighting mainly on WCK Muay Thai Promotions. I saw him beat Glen Spencer Jr. at the K-1 show in Los Angeles last year. He has a very nice low kick and likes to move forward and bang. I have been following Mike Lemaire and Eddie Walker’s careers and they’re some of the top guys in their weight division.

The other participants in the tournament are Andrew Kapel, Van “The General” Wyk Povey, Edgar Del Fierro. Evgeny Zotov, Casey Green,  and Jonarth Junio. Along with the tournament there will be Five Muay Thai Fights. Joe Davidson and more check it out.

  1. i think its absolute bullshit that they are charging that much to see sloppy fighters BRAWL in the ring. Events like these take away from the sport gaining popularity. Dont think the guy new to muay thai that just spent $40 to see some glorified smoker is gonna be too happy.
