Well Just got an Email From the Contenders Folks stating I’m in Violation of Copyright… Hopefully they’ll relax a bit after the show has been aired. Maybe they’ll take some time and update all the fans with some details like when the show is going to air, what markets it’s going to be aired in, and hey maybe a new trailer. Here’s yet another reason why you should visit MMT daily.
Any of you guys visit the official Contender Asia site this weekend? If you dropped by on Sunday around noon you might have noticed that they left the front door wide open. Big thanks to Myap for letting me know.
Anyway, they had the third episode in its entirety posted. I was able to pull it down before someone caught it.
I ended up watching about the first 10 min. I don’t plan on watching anymore, I don’t want to know anymore then I already do. I don’t have any plans to post the full episode but I did edit down an interesting clip from the episode.
I had mentioned in an earlier post that there seemed to be some tension between Raffik Bakouri and some of the other contestants. I think it’s fairly safe to say there was some truth to that.
In the beginning of this clip they did a recap of last weeks action, it seems as if Raffik got under a lot of peoples skin fairly early. Even Yod was in on the shit talking… I was pretty impressed.
From what I’ve seen the show looks phenomenal, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I’m looking forward to this. By the way, this was the first time I’ve used imovie, I don’t know why the image quality turned out so shitty. If any of you know anything editing MPEGs drop me an email.
i juz wanna know when they will show in US?? or r they airing in singapore already?

Playing the devil’s advocate I won’t be so quick to damn Raffik. I mean he talked usual competitive stuff big deal. Jabbar was the first one to physically attack Raffik. I mean talk is talk and far as shit talk goes that is far from the worst I’ve ever heard. When someone swings on you or shoves you the ante has just been upped.
At that point he could have let it go but from one out of context clip I don’t really seeing him being soley in the wrong. They are both responsible for their actions.

Whoever started it or is more at fault, it’s not exactly good for our sport. This is the type of shit you see on that Ultimate Fighter show, or the World Wrestling Federation.
That doesn’t mean this doesn’t mean I’m not excited to see this guy get his ass kicked. Quite the contrary, and one of the reasons is because all of the guys I train MT with are so gracious and humble, and I like seeing Testosterone/Roid Ragers put in their place. This is a very brutal sport, and you should have respect for anyone who puts their body on the line to train, let alone fight professionally, in Muay Thai.
I know that Bunkerd and Neungsiam could kick my ass a thousand times over, but I can’t EVER imagine them pulling this type of shit. It’s obviously a very competitive environment on that show, but I hope audiences don’t see the show and get the wrong impression and lump us in with other meatheads who practice combat arts for all the wrong reasons.
