Raffik vs. Georgio

August 27, 2009 by nopstar

Came across this the other day in Stack’s youtube channel,  apparently this took place about a month year ago.  I don’t remember reading, or hearing anything about this.   BTW, slightly off topic but when you get a done watching this ass whooping, head over to Stacks blog, thescienceof8limbs.com he’s put together a nice interview with Cosmo Alexander.

There’s a moment when I sort of feel for Raffik, it’s the second time he’s been clocked and he’s got fear in his eyes. Georgio is just looking amazing… It’s crazy how young he is and how much time he’s got left in the game.  He’s really only going to get tighter and more refined…

    Petro man..ever since I saw him fight naruepol I figured he would be a force. Stalked raffik like Yods. I love watching Petro…, no drama no showboating…just great technique, ring work range and timing..thanks guys..I watched it at work and it already made my day=)

    Nice! He dominated form start to finish. I like how he stays cool and measures distance well before attacking. None of that rushing in like a madman and then smother your own techniques. Cool fight.

    I think this fight was posted on MMT some time ago.
    Nevertheless, Giorgio manhandled him pretty nicely.

    a few leg kicks, a brief clinch and then mostly hands….was raffik’s defense that bad or did petrosyan just see an opening ? anyway, couldn’t happen to a nicer guy….

    Giorgio = K-1 Max 2009 champion
    No bashing to Souwer and Buakaw, but whoever will win will be pretty worn out from a very tough fight, whereas Petro is gonna divide Yamamoto’s carcass over the audience in the first two rounds without effort.
    Wouldn’t be bad for Max’s credibility to finally have a new champion imo
