Many thanks to Gusnark in our Dutch Field office for sending this one along. The last time I time I posted anything on Giorgio Petrosyan was last year when he fought out boy Buakaw. Here he is fighting the fighter everyone loves to hate Raffik Bakouri.
This fight to place back in June, in Italy…
I actually feel bad for Rafik, there is a moment after Rafik get’s rocked the second time. You can see it in his eyes; he knows he’s in deep shit. I have to admit; I was a little shocked by Petrosyan’s performance. I think if they unleashed him in the Contender Asia, we might have seen him fighting in the finals with Yod.
If you remember, Petrosyan stunned a lot of peeps by earning a draw. Since then he’s been a very busy boy. He’s scheduled to fight Andy Souwer early next year. It’s unclear under what rules, but I can guarantee it’s going to be K1.
If anyone thinks Souwer is going to walk through him, there in for a surprise. Although relatively unknown, Petrosyan sports a 51-1 record. His only loss is to Nonthanan Por.Pramuk, and if you think he’s been fed fights check out this roster (Cedric Muller, Marco Pique, Arslan Magomedov, et al.)

Georgio Petrosyan is no joke. As has been said, he has a very good record and a plethora of who’s who on it.

Petrosyan really is the man. He’s young, smart and technical fighter. Check him fighting against Pique, who had no answer.
Fight vs Souwer (March 14th in Milaan) will be a great match-up.

Petrosyan is awesome, I have read somewhere that his next fight is going to be against warren stevelmans in arenA or something else in the netherlands?
I like both fighters a lot, it’s going to be hard to decide who to root for, altough I think Petrosyan has more experience and that will be the decisive factor..

Daym! He decimated Raffik even more convincingly then Yod did, although I think Yoddy is better now then when he fought Raffik? Gorgio’s style reminds me of Yod’s actually. Very measured and calm and almost stalking like Yod. Would love to see Gorgio fight Souwer, Stevelman and Yod as well. Would also love to Yod fight the other Souwer again and Stevelman. Petrosyan is seems daym impressive to me.

Petrosyan is just that damn good.
He’s a young kid I think barely 21 and he already has damn near 60 fights.
