This fight’s about a month old, features one of our favorite fighters Pornsaneh Sitmonchai vs. Ting Tong. There’s a 7 year gap between these two Nak Muay, Pornsaneh being the elder at 31. I arrived in Bangkok that evening, and had to rush straight from the airport, bags in tow to the stadium. I made in time for the 2nd round of this fight.
I saw Pornsaneh a couple of days later when I took my group to train at Sitmonchai. He had a giant bruise on his shin/ankle where he had caught Ting Tong right on the knee. I guess it’s one of the risks you take when you are throwing that many devastating leg kicks… your going to get some of them checked.
He didn’t run with us that afternoon, but chose to bring up the rear on a scooter. It was quite the spectacle… for those of you who’ve never met him, he’s quite the character. He was riding behind me shouting out random things to the villagers like he was the unofficial mayor of Thamaka. We passed by this lady who was siting outside her house enjoying her afternoon cigarette, as Pornsaneh rode by on his scooter he shouts out ” Excuse me miss! Don’t you know smoking is harmful to your health and the health of others?” I couldn’t help laugh out loud, as she gave him the stink eye and he just smiled back at her. The rest of the run played out like that, lots’ a shouting at people and blank stares looking back at us…

LOL that is so Pornsaneh! What did you think of the match Mai? I can’t remember if you were as surprised as I was when they called it for Ting Tong.

Damn it… it was painful to watch all those times Pornsaneh`s legkicks being checked. And kicking opponent`s leg clearly seeing there`s a block… Well at the end TingTong`s left was destroyed, but the price… Also wondered, why Pornsaneh didn`t use left legkick.. almost at all.

Holy shit, that was a lot of low kicking! I guess that’s how bad asses fuck up their shin…on other people’s shin.

Oh and Porn is still the man. Looked like he was trying to teach the youngster a lesson, but still didn’t score as much as TingTong.
