Pattaya fight updates

One of our own community members Nathan Smith aka “Wade Willet” was just in Pattaya tearing shit up. Nathan trains out of Fairtex San Francisco, and is trained by a good friend Enn Fairtex. Some of you may have heard about Yodsaenklai’s most recent fight last week. Here is a first hand account from Nathan.

Many thanks to Nathan for sharing with us. I think it’s awesome he’s on one of those stadium flyers. I love them, 98% of the time; they either have your name or your country wrong. You gotta love the Tinglish (Thai English) “Never Lose” I would love to be on one of those… That shit would be my Christmas card.
“Coke Fairtex lost on points in a 5 round clinch war because he was thrown down a few times. I fought some retired boxer calling himself “CHAMP” working as a trainer at some local camp nearby, needless to say i won since the guy was almost twice my age and hadn’t trained hard in prolly 15 years (i went really easy on him and just gave the crowd a good betting fight for the crowd. Mr Wong told me to tko so i did an elbow combo that put him down and he didn’t try to get up. i didn’t put my hands up after winning, instead i just put my head down and bowed to the boxer and his trainer and exited the ring.
The main event was of course yod. he played with the fat French guy for two rounds then in the 3rd and 4th round he kicked the Frenchman’s arm and ribs so much that he won by tko.
I guess anyone can fight yod if they put down the mandatory 100k baht side bet… I think that’s the fastest and worst ways to lose 100k baht in Thailand, to fight yod haha.
Tthere was an auzzie name Bren Foster from the tv show “Fight Science” that fought against fairtex trainer Chao in a 3 round no elbow fight. Chao went really easy on Bren with the kicks but punched him pretty hard to make him believe he was in a real fight. he didn’t know that Chao had left bangplee fairtex a week prior to Bren showing up 3 days before he fought.
There’s going to be a dvd released of some of the action form the night soon.”

cool update. thanks! interested in seeing Coke’s fight.
Trained with Nathan and Jake five weeks ago at bangplee. realy good guys. nice that tien finaly found a fight for nathan.
Does anyone have the clip of Yodsanklai against the fat french guy.?
I think Nathan Does… I’ll be sure to upload as soon as I get it.
i have yod’s fight in good quality but it’s VLC format. help me out with the upload.
Would be relly nice if you could upload your own fight and jakes. if you have them ofc.
i personally witnessed the fights in pattaya – it was a great night yod and Bren Foster were very entertaining. As a devoted fan to all martial arts i can definitley say i thought Bren Foster won his match although it was called a draw and it was most certainly a real fight- and do i detect a little bit of jealousy from Nathan Smith ? As this is the second distortion of the truth Nathan has said about Bren and i also know for a fact, because of where i was sitting Nathan was in the dressing room and did not even see Bren’s match- Bren Foster is a true martial artist that is willing to do battle with any style and by their rules and a true gentlemen that always upholds the respect of the fighting arts. Lets see if Nathan can accomplish half as much as Bren in the world of martial arts- and yes you will be able to see the fights on dvd as the camera’s were there because of Bren- lastly i would like to say Bren is a positive individual that would never say a bad word about another fighter and was extremely grateful for the opportunity Mr Wong and fairtex gave him by letting him return to the ring after a ten year absence from competitive fighting- and dear Nathan jealousy is a curse and i wonder what Mr Wong would say if he knew what you have been saying? also Nathan you said last time Bren was behind on points but managed to draw the match because of a spinning back kick at the end of the match that dropped Chao- well as a matter of fact Bren dropped Chao with a spinning back kick 30 seconds into the first round not the last round so i suggest you actually watch a fight before you try and tell people about it .
wow had no idea i was getting bashed after all this time haha.
Bren was really nice to me so if i said something that pissed him off i regret saying it.
