Pak-Wing Heung – Contender Asia 2
March 12, 2009 by nopstar

Here’s another confirmed Contender Asia season 2 participant. Wing defeated Zidov to represent Hong Kong in season 2. I’m not sure why Zidov was fighting? What if Zidov won? Would he be up for a second season?

interesting front kicks…
nice. I dont know why but i didnt expect him to fight like that!
Is it me of does Zidov keep getting matched in fights he has no chance of winning?
why is fighting zidov considered a bench mark for getting in to the next season, or have I got the wrong end of the stick?I dont think he should have been in the first season? He got owned in that clip!!
seems like a good calibre of nak muays this season. Too bad we may not get it in the US until late..but we sue as heck get every amateur oval track and dirt race there is. getting Verizon Fios and will get blackbelt channel on HD..hopefully some MT may be there
It’s too bad, I like Zidov but he does seem to be getting owned left and right these days. For the other Americans here, there’s going to be a little Muay Thai on the Travel Channel on 3/16 (next Monday) – Dhani Tackles the Globe. First episode is about Muay Thai. Just a little FYI.
everytime after watching Zidov, I always recalled he saying :”My strength is that I’m crazy….”
I think he might be crazy at times coz he looked unprepared for fights…clips of his fights often end with TKO or even KO…i hope stronger fighters can appear in CA2..though I do think Zidov really livened up the show alot…
I’m glad to see more varied Asian representation on the next season. I’m sure the Thais will still more or less dominate, but I was just thinking last night about how cool it would be to get some solid Japanese and Dutch guys in. Maybe I’m a little to much into ‘world warrior’ mode because of Street Fighter 4…
On another note, can anybody explain what he was doing with the front kicks? It seemed like he was using it offensively and that he was doing damage with it instead of using it as a defensive push like normal.
Did Pak-Wing Heung fought any known/skilled MT fighter?
Looking back at the vid Hoyboy, yeah he was using the push offensively.
A decent push kick to the stomach can really take the wind out of an opponent even knock someone out
if your land with the ball of your foot on the liver or the floating rib that shit can hurt real bad.
the first teep leg check he did was dangerous though and could blow out his opponents knee.
believe the term I was looking for was teep kahn
It’s good to finally see a Chinese in MT. I never heard of Heung. He looks well schooled. Has he fought anyone with some caliber? Why everytime i watch Zidov he is always taking a bad beating?….is it just me?
Heung looks pretty solid overall. That KO ratio is pretty crazy but of course that is all going to have to be correctly measured against the level of competition he has but Heung cannot be too horrible with some of those accomplishments listed.
Hate to say it but the side kicks look like they are from sanda which is a little ironic given Zidov’s sanda background.
Oh also Heung fought in K-1 MAX twice and pretty completely defeated both of his opponents. Same thing in those too he looked reasonably impressive and dominant.
