A little treat for the MMT community compliments of Hellfighter of the K1 Forums, as always thanks for sharing…
This is one of those fights that you rarely get to see. If it isn’t for footage like this, I’m sure I wouldn’t ever get the opportunity to see a match up like this.
I’ve watched this a couple of times through and I’m not even sure how to begin scoring the match. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Sanchai fight where he had to work this hard. I’m so used to seeing him clown and walkthrough people.
Orono is just sick, I loved his Muay Boran move when he caught Sanchai’s leg and dropped on elbow on it, I’ve see Somrak bust that out but it wasn’t against anyone of this caliber.
In the end Sanchai did appear to catch his second wind, but I think it was a bit late…
What do you think?

I think Orono is WAY bigger, like a lot of Sanchai’s opponents seem to be these days. But at any size, he’s very skilled. Interesting to see someone give Sanchai a real challenge for a change.

Great fight all Praise Nop and Hellfighter for giving us the opportunity to watch some traditional Muay Thai (Don’t get me wrong K1 is good but I luv the real stuff…lol).
Great fight…I think that elbow might have been the deciding factor of the match. Both fighters did great….Slayer is right…Orono looked a lot bigger (not just taller) than Seanchai. Seanchai is so damn unorthodox, it’s hard to predict his next move (even though he does love that left body kick…lol). Great fight Thanx again!

saenchai is my favorite fighter to watch right now but i gotta be honest, he got outworked.
in the last round you could see how frustrated he was. orono deserves big props for his performance.

Orono was insane, his hands and elbows were better. In 2th and 3th round he was more dominant and aggressive, I believe that was the deciding factor. But damn, Sanchai is tough and unpredictable fox.
Tnx Nop for this great fight.

I think the first round probably went to Sanchai because Orono was still tripping on all Sanchai’s crazy moves. But I think Sanchai sort of unloaded his whole bag of tricks to early, and Orono really settled into his own groove in rounds 2-3. He was definitely winning round 4, but as soon as Sanchai got cut, you can see Sanchai take it to a different level, and totally dominate the last round and a half.
Very entertaining back and forth battle.

it’s true that saenchai is usually smaller than his opponents but orono looked much bigger.
even if that weren’t true i think orono was going to be the winner that night, he looked determined to win.

The elbow to the quad is such a sweet move. We drill it (and kneeing at the same time as well) on occasion. It hurts like a son of a, but it’s super hard to pull off in a fight.

Sanchai is a vary good technichian in the ring, but I think that overall Orono is a bit more determined.

[...] but I think Sanchai is going to be too elusive for him. It doesn’t seem like many apart from Orono and Wutthidej have had much success landing clean solid blows on Sanchai. I don’t know how [...]
