Why do so many Thais fight in the southpaw stance?

if its not cause they are left handed i would like to know as well.

My understanding is that a large majority of thai fighters are trained to be southpaws not because their left side is dominant but because its more difficult to fight a southpaw.

A saying i once heard is If you want to be good be right handed, if you want to be a champ be left handed……..Being that the skill level in Thailand is so high, most orthodox fighters in Thailand train southpaw from a very young age to give them the edge of difference.
Alot of Thais have dominant sides that they prefer but also extensively train both sides as well. All those hours you have in the day training, you’re gonna get alot of time to play around….
That being said, i don’t wanna bother, i’ve been orthodox for years now so fuck it, i just watch Khem dismantle people in his orthodox stance and that brings me all the joy i need.
