Can you believe it’s that time of year again? I for one am taking it easy this year…hopefully none of you guys got hurt in the mad stamped to buy “Stuff”.
It’s been since early October since I’ve kicked a pad. I hurt my foot and was forced to find other ways to get a workout in. This year’s buyers guide is focused mostly on training.
Hopefully you’ll be able to leave this blog post open on your loved one’s computer….
Fight soap
This generally isn’t that big of an issue for Nak Muays… having said that, I’ve clinched with some folks who’ve made me concerned about picking up a rash from their nasty ass wraps. Do you really need fight soap? Probably not, a bar of dial would probably do just fine. But you really can’t gift a bar of dial can you?

Ross Training
It’ looks like Ross has finally put out a DVD. I haven’t seen it yet, but based on the workouts he has in his book I’m sure it’s top quality. I’m actually going to be ordering one of his books this week. I need to kick shit up a notch.

Tuff Muay Thai Tee’s 50% off
What a better way to show love for our art. Our generous partners Muay Thai Stuff are running a 50% sale until the end of the month. Get shirts just like this one for $13

Duvide
I know completely unnecessary… but I have to say, I love my Duvide rope. We spend a lot of time with our ropes, why not get one that you’ll actually want to hold on to.

Garmin 405
I used to have the 2nd generation Garmin, it looked liked I was running around with a police house arrest bracelet on. It’s amazing they’ve managed to put all of that GPS kit into something so small. You guys know it’s important to get your road work in. It’s also important to make sure you’re getting the most out of your road work.

The stick
If any of you have had and soreness on your shins, calves and thighs (all of you do) this little stick will make kiss it and make it better. Seriously I mocked my buddy for buying one of these… then I found I was always asking if I could borrow it. Rub it up and down your calves and thighs to work out the lactic acid, you will thank me.

Ninja Blowgun and Pocket knife Set
“Ninja blowgun and Pocket knife combo. 5″ closed and has a 3 1/2″ 440 stainless steel blade. Includes 2 pieces of black tubing to make your pocket knife blowgun. Also includes 3 darts and a nylon pouch” I got my set last x-mas, I must have assassinated at least a couple of dozen people with it already… totally indispensible.

lol I’m actually one of fight soaps sponsored fighters, but this is not a plug i promise.
i’ve wrestled for a very long time and have been exposed to all sorts of anti bacterial soaps. the stuff that works tends to be really harsh on your skin. dries it out like no other. fight soap doesn’t do that and the scrubbing exfoliants are just a really nice addition. it’s not an absolute necessity, but as someone who’s been exposed to every gross thing you can get from the mat, it’s just nice to know you’re doing everything you can to prevent shit.
you’re totally right when you say nak muays don’t really need it as they’re not rolling around mats all day. but just a little cautionary story, one of my good friends got staph really bad just from putting on one of the gyms shin guards last time he was in thailand.

And I have the Ross DVD, I give it 5 thumbs up. Very informative for fighters and all around workout nuts. And he does everything on the cheap too. No fancy homo-fied gadgets required!

I love the way you ended the buyer’s guide with some random nonsense. lol…Awesome! Gotta have it!
December 16, 2008 at 8:04 am
I don’t know what you’re calling nonsense? Ninja’s are serious business… if you get hit with a blow dart today I want you to know it wasn’t me.

lol. touche. Maybe if that Iraqi reporter had the Ninja blowgun and Pocket knife combo, George Bush wouldn’t have been so lucky. huh????

Hey guys,
Just wanted to fill you guys in on how Fight Soap can benefit Nak Muays and strikers in general.
Use our products to wash up after the handwraps and gloves come off. Bacteria lurks inside our trusty Windy’s, Twins’ and Fairtex’s 14 ouncers. Also use it to your feet, shins, arms, and face. We get hit with gloves and thai pads that most likely were never cleaned.
We don’t roll on mats, but we still come in contact with stuff that carries potential causes of disease. How do we know? We practice MT ourselves regularly.
Hope this helps.
