Happy Friday Nak Muay…  I hear there were some Coach Damon sightings in Thailand lately!  In today’s Damon takes us through an off balancing technique in the clinch.  The nugget in this clip is the continuation.  This is really the whole point of  this technique… you’ve off balanced your opponent, but now your in a perfect position to deliver your knee with little to no resistance from your opponent.

If you listen very carefully you’ll hear coach martin trying to hold on to the contents of his stomach.  That’s what you get when you show up to filming hungover!

  1. Poor Martin!

  2. I really would like to know what is the rule on trippin somebody’s foot. I see many Thai fighter throwing people off balance by tripping the foot while they spin em around. But while training in Thailand I did it during sparring and they said Foul! So is this not allowed? Or can it be done by some way that makes it legal?

  3. It has to be done with the top of the foot or shin, not with the heel or inside of the foot like a judo sweep.
