50 episodes of the Muay Thai Minute! Can’t believe these have been going for over a year already. Today Coach Damon of Singdayt Muay Thai London takes us through an often overlooked muay thai technique, the arm drag.
This technique is often more effective in the later rounds when nak muay begin to close the distance between each other. It’s sort of difficult to see from the video, but Coach Damon is using Coach Martins natural resistants to being pulled. His reaction is to pull back… Coach Damon is using that momentum to throw himself into an elbow. It’s a subtle difference, he’s not pulling coach Martin in, but pulling himself into coach Martin.
You might want to wear elbow pads when drilling this one, it’s a bit harder to control. Happy Friday, Happy training!
