Sawatdee Nak Muay, and happy friday.  Coach Damon and Martin are recharging their batteries and will be back in action in a couple of weeks.  For know we continue our celebrity Muay Thai minute with Bovy Sor Udomson aka the “Thai Juggernaut”  How fitting he should be showing us how to make people piss blood.  Out technique of the day is the shovel punch.

I admit it isn’t our cleanest , but I don’t think he was in the mood to multiple takes.   The 3 things that he stresses is that:

  1. should be short and the power comes from your shoulder
  2. Your palm should be facing up and you should be cutting into the body at 45 degree angle
  3. If you swing with your palms down your going to be landing them on your opponents elbows.
This technique works beautifully if it’s set up properly.  A common combination is to get your opponents hands up with a 1-2 combination to the head, leaving their torso open for the shovel punch.
Thanks to Sonny for sharing his kebab with us and of course   and the peeps at Kaewsamrit gym.

  1. “not in the mood for multiple takes”..Hahah and I am sure you dare not test that perception either=)

  2. What’s even cooler, is that he was wearing jeans.

    • if this was facebook, i would like this comment

  3. hes a literal human beast

  4. For real..wearing jeans, and squinting in sun as if you just woke him up from a night of drinking to shoot some damn video..hahaha
classic boxing techniques…really explains his hand dominant style..the emphasis on shoulder and rotation and angle reminds me of Tyson`s style and body mechanics

    • LOL @ the squinting…so true

      he is ridiculous.
