More Muay Thai Shows

Not sure if you guys had a chance to catch this yet. It looks promising… I just finished watching the premier episode where Dhani travels to Thailand, and trains at MuayThai Plaza. (if you visit their site turn down your volume) I had met Khun Pong when I did my session with Samkor, the gym is bare bones and old school.
MuayThai and Thailand seem to be an obligatory stop for all of these pseudo fight shows… to be honest though it doesn’t get old for me. The format isn’t really any different from Human Weapon or Fight Quest, just a more affable host. The episode isn’t going to be anything new for you… although it’s impressive to someone of his athletic caliber getting worked after a few rounds of pads.
I don’t have the travel channel here in the UK, but I do have an apple tv and plan on watching the rest of the episodes. If your in the states you can watch it on these nights, anywhere else you’ll be sol.
you’ll need to install the veoh video compass, and player to watch the full episode in your browser. Once you’ve installed the web player, you’ll have to restart your browser. Once you’ve done that click on the Veoh logo in the top right hand corner of the player, you’ll be able to watch the full episode in your browser. I’d like to point out that I don’t get any sort of commission or kickback for this, I only use veoh, as it allows for the largest length and file size of any video provider.

Thanks for sharing Nop! I’m glad that living abroad hasn’t stopped you from getting the latest from Muay Thai-ness :D
I DVR’ed this episode a couple weeks ago. I concur with your thoughts. I enjoyed watching this, although I’d prefer if these guys would train for more than one week. What can you learn in one week.
Really cool indeed.
watched this a few days ago off k1 fans.I never tire of these kind of shows either.got kind of pissed off witht he shit he was talking at the end.All the I did what I came here to do, to become a real muay thai warrior, amongst other self congratulatory nonsense, like they hadnt just pulled out the nearest fat taxi driver and offered him a few tousand baht tp get battered by that enomrous and dead fit american football player
I watched this show and thought it was pretty neat. However, they did just throw this guy a chump to beat up on. I wish they would have made him take on a better fight. I mean come on, at least give him another athletic opponent but I guess it is hard to find big guys like that to fight over there?
My share that opinion with Bryan.
The show itself was pretty cool, reminiscent of the others and just fun to watch. However, it was quite obvious of the caliber of opponent he would fight being that he was an NFL football player struttin’ 200+ at weigh-ins. Maybe the other episodes will be better; Dhani did not fit the profile for Thai Boxing against any real talent as did Jason Chambers vs. Yoddecha in Human Weapon.
HAhahaha you could almost see his ego swell at the end…
I came here and became a real mt warrior…
In a week you did all that ?? Really?
Guess we should all just pack it in seeing as years of training dont amount to your one week tough guy.
I agree with Nop that he definitely if affable. Dhani does appear to be in great shape too. His body is def not built for MT, but is really built for football.
I wrote about this on Total-MMA.com if anyone wants a full writeup on it.
This was much more honest in its presentation than Human Weapon. Yeah, he fought a nobody but what do you expect? They didn’t lie about it. Dhani gave tons of props to Thai fighters, and instead of training for a week and pretending he could hang with one of the world’s best… he just accomplished his goal of fighting.
It’s a good show. The one on Rugby was his best though :)
