Mayhem on Mulberry 8
February 7, 2007 by nopstar
For our NY and NJ readers, (there are about 50 of you) 5 Points Fitness is presenting “Mayhem on Mulberry 8″. The event is this Friday at 6pm.
One of our fighters Evan Esguerra will be part of the action. Neungsiam “The Rock” Samphrusri will be accompanying him for this fight. For those of you who don’t know, he’s a former Lumpini Stadium champ, Mitsubishi 8 man tournament champ and all around good guy. I don’t think he’s ever been to NYC so guys please take care of him. Be sure to buy him a beer I’m sure he’ll appreciate.
If any of you guys make it to this, I would love to hear about it.

I am not sure how much time Neungsiam will have there, but if possible, you may even try and schedule a personal training session with him if he has time. He is THAT good and will show you things well, you will just not get anywhere else.
U said that it would be possible to get a personal training session with Neungsiam????…Does he still train outta Thailand or did he move to the U.S??? I think I might just go to that competition…I’m in Jersey…holla!
Spydaman-
He’s training out of San Francisco now. He is a trainer at http://www.fightandfitness.com
I think he left last night. He should be freezing his ass off right about now.
Let us know how the fights went.
Poor Neungsiam just coudn’t comprehend how cold it gets on the East Coast. He’s only not worn sweats in the gym once or twice since he got back from Thailand. hahaha
Thanx Nopadon…Have u trained with him??….Are there any note worthy “Thai” trainers in the east coast??? Just curious…cuz it seems most of the great ones are in Freakin’ California….I’m hating….GRRR!
Doesn’t Coban teach in NY or Phil Nurse?
Kru Phil Nurse: The Wat Gym in Manhattan. Clearly the most experienced fighter and trainer of the NYC scene.
Kru Coban: Upstate NY (not NYC anymore for a few years) The only former Thai champion in the area.
correction… click on “Coban Camp”in the Muay Thai Camps section… Coban’s left the big city and has moved to the mid-west.
Coban moved to Chicago, I have heard of Phil Nurse and I will do some research. Fairtex needs to build something in the east coast. I mean, c’mon man!…2 Fairtex gyms in California??? We get no luv, all we have out here is a bunch of MMA schools. I am lucky enough though to train with Master K. I also train with a number of other people. I love for someone like Jonsinan (sp?), Bunkerd, Ganyao, Master Toddy, Saekson, Neugsiam or other pure Thai fighters to come to our side…lol.
