This clip was from back in January as part of the Yokkao extreme event in Milan.  Not quite sure why they’ve made these 4 rounds, maybe the audience just doesn’t have the patience.  In this case I would have loved to see it go another round, may have changed the fight.

*spoiler*

It’s going to sound like blasphemy, but I really wanted to see Sudsakorn get his clock cleaned.  I’m all for a bit of swagger, but if your going to effe about you need to answer the call.  I’m not talking about his ring walk, who cares about that…  I’m talking about his antics in the ring. Maybe I’m being a uptight bastard, but he’s really beginning to rub me the wrong way.  Thoughts?

  1. Well, if you act like this you gotta bring it or you’ll look like a clown and you should never underestimate your opponent unless you’re 100% sure.
If Pique would have geared it up a little in the 2nd round (or a 5 rounder), the outcome may have been different.

    • i think marco pique is a good athlete/fighter with good technique and i respect him but he appears to lack power imo. but at no point in the fight did i think pique had a chance of taking it.

      • Yeah, I was somehow just surprised by Pique’s knee and follow up punches but Sudsakorn was of course already miles ahead.
Another 2 rounds would have been nice, just to see if Pique could have done something or if Sudsakorn would have continued his game of the previous rounds.

And I am totally fine with showboating, but getting kneed in the head while you do so, does not look so good : P

  2. lol suds is so cocky, though for some reason i enjoy his showboating more than i do Saenchai’s antics, i think it’s because Sudsakorn is still out for blood even though he’s smiling…or maybe i just have a deep-seated prejudice against short people who are very quick.

  3. I love his style, how he’s having fun on the ring,
but doing this during the whole fight is a bit too much.
He looks totally different while fighting other thais tho.
Can’t wait to see him vs Superbon.

  4. his swag is cool. he def doesnt suck. he realized he lost in his fight with petro. suds is a definite showman but when saenchai showboats it totally seems condescending to the other fighter which i dont think is saenchais intent.

  5. The showboating comes off pretty douchey, imho. But hey if you can back it up, i guess you have the right to.
I still prefer the more humble approach…

  6. Id love to see sudsakorn v saiyok. that wud be great to see.. a cocky sudsakorn v a fighter who looks like he just wants to rip ur head off and they both love elbow war lol

  7. @SE Marco has a strong overhand right…ive been hit by alotta ppl in my time and he has some power with that right

    • good to know from someone with exp. i got the pleasure of meeiting the sniper and he is the most laid back chill fighter/dude i ever met.

i just realized this fight is in 1080p. now i do feel that sudsakorn was in a bit of trouble.

but i would love for them to fight again. its a great great match up.

the dance off at the end was awesome.

  8. I love his style, an his antics are always interesting and fun to watch.

I don’t know if you guys will agree. But he does a lot for the sport, with his charisma, character, and the shows he puts on People love him.

Keep in mind, that he fights on the international scene where the whole modest and thai culture is not appreciated or understood. His antics keep the fans engaged, because in all truth Muay Thai bouts can get quite stale and boring to people who are only their to witness knock outs.

So I say, stay the way he is. Everyone can hate,

    • and its a fight. you guys know who nick diaz is?

he taunts to take you out of your game, and make you swing wide and piss you off to gas you out and counter you, while you slowly gett taken out of your element.

      Genius tatics

  9. Great fight with vicious elbows (Sud) and knees (Marco), and imo showboating is all good if you can back it up. ^ I agree with vincejai on this on.

If you guys didn’t see it, here’s a short clip of boxing that shows another side of this showboating thing… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3zdQrzaFIk
