Brit businessman and promoter extraordinaire Barry Hearn is getting into the Muay Thai biz.
Barry Hearn has been an influential; figure in UK boxing, Darts, and Snooker. Hearn created the prizefighter series, a K1 styles tournament for boxers. Basically he’s a great person to have backing your sport.
Hearn is looking to do to do a Battle of the Belts show here in London in October.
The match ups are looking exceptional…
Liam Harrison vs. Fabio Pinca, this is a match up that loads of us on MMT have been talking about. For me this is going to be the main event.
Kem Sitsongpeenong vs. Jordan Watson, another great match up, these two have never met, it’s going to be very interesting.
Sagetdao vs Greg Wootton, this will be Greg’s greatest challenge to date. Greg is currently ranked no. 2 behind Liam, and has been moving steadily up the UK ranks.
The main event will feature a heavyweight battle between Steve Wakeling and Artem Levin or Joe Schilling. Wakeling and Levin fought just 2 weeks ago with the bout was scored as a draw. There’s a lot of bad blood between these two camps.
If they get a chance to meet again, I guarantee it’s going to be an entirely different fight.

wow!!!! that is amazing. There seems to be a lot of MT surprises going on in uk at the moment, this, and thaifight for example.
If someone like Barry Hearne cant make MT a sporting force with public demand and support over here then basically no one can.Id almost argue that if Hearnes involvment in MT fails to eventually get MT mainstream support and fans then its basically never going to happen.
Those are some cracking fights.I hope the Brits can bring some W’s back tho because if they all get beat I can’t see it being a popular success.Purists will still love it but the public at large doesn’t want to be introduced to a sport where all our lads get beaten!!
They are some tough fights right there

wow i bet kem will underestimate jordan a bit and get tagged a couple times. i dont think kem will run through him but it could happen.
levin will destroy wakeling….

SE – not seen the fight but levin and wakeling fought to a draw 2 weeks ago, with waklings camp being very unhappy with the decision, saying that wakeling should have won.Theres been a lot of controversy around the fight, dont think it will be the walkover you might think.Got to admit I thought Levin would own him but it appears not

Manant your right they did fight and steve won the fight clearly, i was expecting more from levin seeing as he’s on such a roll at the moment,
In my opinion the first three rounds were close But steve came out in the 4th and clearly won the round and continued it in the 5th you could even say he bossed levin .
The problem is is the scorecards 1 judge gave it to steve, 1 to levin and the 3rd judges card added up to give the win to steve, So you would think that it would be a split decision to steve!, but some how the 3rd judges card had draw written on it, which just seems a bit strange!!!. To be honest anyone can’t look on the thread on AX under UKMF levin- wakeling and see all the posts although it may take you a few days to get through
