Lion Fight Promotion’s has released their poster for the epic showdown between Frenchman Gregory Choplin and Yodsanklai Fairtex at “Lion Fight 8″ taking place January 25th, 2013 inside “The Joint” at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The event will take place on Friday night to accommodate the Friday Night Fights broadcast on AXS TV.
Muay Thai Fans around the world will need to tune in to this historic night of the first national broadcast of Muay Thai in the United States.
Gregory Choplin is still not very well known in the United States. I personally have seen him fight twice, and he is the real deal. He is a highly skilled, and technical fighter who has a professional record of 54 wins, 9 losses. Gregory Choplin is the first French Fighter to sign with the “It’s Showtime” promotion, and has done most of his fighting throughout his professional career in Europe.
Choplin’s last loss was against Yohan Lidon who he had defeated the two previous encounters. He is on a four fight win streak defeating high caliber opponents such as Chaz Mulkey, Chris Ngimbi, Mohamed Abdellahim, & Joe Valtellini.
Fellow Frenchman, and Gregory Choplin’s training partner Remy Bonnel is on the undercard scheduled to fight Shane Campbell. Shane Campbell is a very good Thai Boxer out of Canada who took a break from Muay Thai to pursue MMA for the last couple of years. He is scheduled to fight Sean Mckinnon in the finals of the Journey Fight Series 160 lbs 8-man tournament March 2nd, 2013. I look forward to seeing Shane Campbell fight for first time at “Lion Fight 8.”

Damn. I just saw this pic of Yod in prep for his fight against Kem (which happened this morning, I think??). Leanest I’ve ever seen him. I hope Choplin puts up a good fight.
