Lion Fight 22

For those of you in the States, Lion Fight will be on Axis TV tonight. The card has a handful of bouts that I’m looking forward to and that hopefully we can post on here.

The main event is a 154 lb. Super Welterweight Title Fight between Jo Nattawut, Atlanta GA vs. Salah Khalifa, London, UK (Khalifa got slaughtered by Yodsanklai at Lion Fight 18 then went on to knock out Steve Long in the UK at a Yokkao show). I’m actually looking forward to this bout and even though Khalifa is replacing Kem Sitsongpeenong who was injured, Nattawut is an entertaining skilled fighter and reminds me of the golden age fighters.

The bout also includes Tiffany Van Soest versus Bernise Alldis from the UK. Tiffany’s last bout against Chajmaa Bellakhal was one of the ugliest bouts I’ve ever seen. I watched it live and Bellakhal‘s kangaroo style of fighting was obscene.Hopefully Bernise Alldis will provide a good challenge for Van Soest.

Also on the card is the always entertaining Jason Andrada who is coming off a loss to the skilled John Nofer. Andrada is rematching Anthony Casterjon who is also coming off a loss against the hard hitting Victor Saravia.

The last bout I’m interested in is Gaston Bolanos versus Damien Earley from Phoenix. Bolanos hails from Dublin and is a stablemate of Kevin Ross while Earley is part of a fighting family that includes Nick Chasteen. There is a little bad blood between the camps as Eddie Abasolo from CSA in Dublin was DQ’ed in a bout against Earley at a previous Lion Fight after Abasolo elbowed Earley to the back of the head.
