Latest Action from China

I just came across a some good news on headkicklegend.com If you guys have never been there check’em out.    It looks like Sombat aka was just competing in China.  You can see a small clip from the fight here.

Buakaw took a 3rd decision over Xu Yan, I need to do some digging but I believe it was under MT rules.  Judging from my short conversation with him, I doubt we’ll be seeing him MAX anytime soon.   According to the post, MAX has expressed some interest in Pajonsuk.  Personally   I would love to see Saiyok representing MT in MAX.

Sanchai also was also on the card and fought under Sanda rules and lost.  I’ll keep an eye out for footage, but I imagine it was a points loss.  This would have been the Dr. second loss this month.

  1. You’re right Mai. . . Saenchai lost on points. His opponent was another big guy apparently — similar in weight and stature to Petmangkon (his last loss). Puja also fought and won. There was a Thai woman on the card too but don’t know her name — she lost.
By the way, Saenchai is fighting again next Friday (2nd July).

  2. Go go Buakaw!
We probably won’t be seeing Buakaw or Yod in MAX. Who cares. Watching them fighting in FTR is great.
Yeah, Saiyok would be great alternative in MAX. His style is perfect to easily handle to majority of fighters there.

  3. Saiyok in Max would be great! His aggressive style should work over well there.

  4. The Thai’s always struggle under Sanda Rule’s. It’s a completely different game and rule set.
Especially with the clinching and take-downs

  5. Pajonsuk is great, but his style is not perfect for MAX. He doesn’t use his hands “enough”. Because of that, he could go through the same nonsense as Buakaw did. But he’s a great fighter, he just beat Sato recently in It’s Showtime 2010 Amsterdam.

  6. I found saenchai vs wang wei video , http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xdxnyl_saenchai-sor-kingstar-vs-wangwei_sport . The fight is in 65kg
