Lamsongkram vs WakelingThe two met for the first time last Sunday in London. Wakeling who is a Faritex sponsored fighter has been spending the past 2 months training at Fairtex Pattaya. Wakeling the WBC Muay Thai champ from England fights out of the Scorpions Gym in London. The 23 year old is a former S-1 tournament champion and recently won the middleweight title last March by defeating John Wayne Parr. Wakeling who’s known for his elbows went into the match with 21-0 record.

Apparently Longsamkram was able to lock up Wakelings arms which took away his elbow strikes. This is the only clip I could find, I’ll be sure to post a better one if I can find it. You can read the full details of the fight here. My trainer Neungsiam who is a former Fairtex fighter recalls training and holding pads for Wakeling. Neungsiam says he was pulling for him, but knew it was going to be a very tough fight for him.
