Many thanks to Spyda for bring this to light… I haven’t seen a clinch battle this good in a while…  I’m sure AlexLPB has had his share of clinching sessions with Ponsawan… maybe he can he can tell us how much fun that was…  these two have met previously with Ponsawan (blue) winning by a headkick KO.

  1. Yes!!! Saw this fight last week and was amazed! Thanks for uploading it. I’ve been trying to find out a little more about Kangkenlek but there is not much info on him online apart from one other video on Youtube displaying his amazing clinch skills! What amazes me is from my own experienced when I was training at Lookprabat Ponsawan is no slouch when it comes to clinching, far from it and within the Muay Thai community in Thailand Ponsawan is known for being a strong clincher like so many of the other fighters coming out of Lookprabat so for Kangkenlek to be able to dominate him in the clinch as if he was inexperienced is mind blowing for me! A lot of people don’t appreciate the clinch and would rather watch a brawler like Yodkhunpon which is entertaining in its own way but the clinch is like an art of its own and takes a lot out of you. I would love to see how Kangkenlek does against Pokaew Fonjarngchonburi another strong clincher.

  2. Apparently Kangkenlek also won his division at the world championships in Russia. According to the commentators…

  3. those knees were horible. That last knee that finished it was amazing

  4. yeah…must be horrible getting kangs knees drilled in your body the whole fight. them shits is hella viscious cuz!

  5. Clinching definitely way too underrated in the west. A wonderful and beautiful art on its own.

  6. Wow, that last knee looked painful. Thats the game guys, win some lose some. Pornsawan is strong in the clinch too but that night wasn’t his night i guess.
